a bit o'heaven

Fancy creating a garden in the sky? This 700 sq ft terrace is a blank canvas just waiting to be turned into a private city oasis. It leads from one of the two bedroom penthouses at the top of the distinctive sail topped Abito scheme at Salford Quays. There are only three left and developers, Ask Life, have just fitted one out as a show apartment to give potential buyers a better idea of the amount of space you get here at the top of the building.
The abito concept was all about crash pad living with a pull down bed and central core of cooking and bathing and the majority of the building here is made up of pods. But the top floor is something else entirely where apartments boast two bedrooms off a main living space with a dining area separated from a glass walled sitting area by a cleverly fitted in kitchen.
But best of all is the canopied terrace with its amazing views over the Ship Canal and the Quays. If you are a Man Utd fan there could be no better place to have a beer than up here looking out at Old Trafford which is just across the water. On match days you could have pre game parties and only head off to the action as you see the crowds thin. Blimey from here you could probably hear the whistle blow.
Even for non-reds the prospect of a private terrace of this size so close to the city is an appealing thought. The weather may not be too good now but the recent hot spell has made many city slickers pine for somewhere of their own to sit out and chill. You obviously pay a premium for outside space but many consider it a good investment as apartments that can offer that something extra hold their value and it all comes down to quality of living.
And you get a lot of wow for your money here. The penthouses are on the market for £220,000 and that includes a car parking space.
